For organisers and arbiters

Everything a tournament needs, nothing it doesn't

From the first pairing to the final crosstable, in your browser.

Swiss & round robin

Dutch-style Swiss pairings with score groups, colour balance and no rematches. Berger tables for single or double round robin.

FIDE tie-breaks

Buchholz, Buchholz Cut 1, Sonneborn-Berger, direct encounter, wins, Koya, progressive and ARO, with virtual opponents for unplayed rounds.

Live public pages

Players, pairings, standings and crosstable on one link. Round pages refresh themselves while results come in.

Built for phones

Parents, players and arbiters check the boards from the hall. Every page fits a small screen, in light or dark mode.

Print & PDF

Clean A4 sheets for the notice board: player list, pairings, standings and crosstable, in any script.

Safe by default

Each organiser sees only their own events. National IDs are never shown publicly. Every form is protected.

How it works

From sign-up sheet to final standings

  1. 01

    Create the event

Name, dates, system, rounds and tie-breaks. Defaults follow common practice, so most events need no changes.

  2. 02

    Add players

Type them in or paste a list from a spreadsheet. Ratings set the starting order automatically.

  3. 03

    Pair, enter, publish

Pair each round in one click, check it, publish it and enter results. Standings update on their own.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Something else? Ask the JomChess team.

Is Tournament Manager free to use?

Yes, it is free for now. All you need is an organiser account.

How do I get an organiser account?

Fill in the account request form and tell us about your event. We set up the account and send you the login details.

Are the pairings FIDE-endorsed?

No. The Swiss engine follows the Dutch system closely and suits non-rated events, but it is not an endorsed FIDE pairing program, so do not use it for FIDE-rated tournaments.

How many players can an event have?

Tournament Manager is made for events of up to about 60 players and 11 rounds, where a round is paired in a fraction of a second.

Can players see results without an account?

Yes. Every public event has its own link. Anyone can open it to see pairings, results and standings, no sign-up needed.
